The start of the Caledonian Canal is yards from our front door. Designed by Thomas Telford this was opened in 1802 to save navy ships having to go round the north of Scotland in the Napoleonic Wars. During the Highland Clearances in the 18th & 19th centuries some 3000 folks a week were transported out from the pier at Corpach to the Americas, Canada and Australasia.  All of our accommodation is named after parts of the original Blacksmiths’s workshop, dating back several centuries,  which was located on the site of the current building.

Snowgoose Mountain Centre offers guiding services, courses &  adventure activity days in canoeing, river & sea kayaking, sailing as well as winter & summer walking & climbing through John Cuthbertson who is a highly experienced mountain & paddlesports instructor.
